I added a couple of years to the old knees with cortisone shots every 2 or 3 months. Don't think it was worth the wait. It's been a year now on new knees and they are much better than the old ones. The muscles and tendons around the knee get stiff occasionally but a few miles on the exercise bike loosens them up.
