Nevada, Iowa | We never owned a good gas grill, always bought a Walmart special and always had trouble with flare ups. On the advice of a good friend we drug out the old Weber kettle that my folks used years ago and with a few parts, we were in business. The only time I get any flare ups now is when the lid is off, I can quickly squelch those by putting the kettle top on and adjusting the draft. We are so much happier grilling on charcoal.
I did get a Green Mountain grill after reading about them here and elsewhere. I really like it too, no flare ups. I do have a lot to learn about it yet and I still rather prefer my steaks on the Weber but that's just me. | |
