Formerly NE North Dakota, now NW MN | I think there is a relationship between N and white mold, though I wont claim to totally understand it yet. However, I wonder if having extra trash on top gives you a more favorable c/n ratio for avoiding white mold. However white mold is an insidious disease and seems to expand its favorable environment all the time, so it probably isn't one or even 3 reasons why your no-till is better... And it may not be a guarantee it always will be. |
