We have never seen boll rot in 30s and I have seen lots of cotton irrigated on 30s. I'm switching to 38s and was on 30s but it is because we are going back to beds. Flat land has not worked for us and we took over a farm that had been notilled for 10 years. That practice doesn't work here or I would stay on 30s.
