Milford, IL | 1 - Disconnect ground cable at battery.
2 - Clamp leads of multimeter to negative battery post and end of negative battery cable
3 - Move positive lead on multimeter to Amps
4 - Turn knob on multimeter to amps. 4A or 10A is a good starting point, work your way down.
Your multimeter display should be showing an amperage draw. Begin removing fuses one by one until the amp draw disappears. On occasion, the alternator is the problem.
Word of caution - don't turn the key to the run position. | |
