NE Nebraska | My family was spending some time together in the back yard today, and it started when we saw a bunch of bugs all over one of the kids toys. Before long, spots all over the lawn were coming alive with these bugs. At first glance it looked like flying ants, but with a closer look, and a google search, we were pretty sure it was termite "swarmers". We had never seen this before, and it didn't take long for my wife and kids to retreat the house. The invasion ended after about 20 minutes. Apparently, there is a colony, or colonies, in the dirt. We have had no termite issues in the house. I was wondering if anyone has experienced swarmers like this. | |
