In my experience, companies will base their bean maturity on the year they are advanced from experimental to commercial. Since beans mature on day length versus GDUs (corn), every year can create a different maturity.

I'd focus on a maturity range you want; early 2, mid 2, late 2. Then focus on agronomics and yield data.
