s.e. Pa | I think in 10' machines the New Holland 1411 or 7230 (newer) are very good. I traded a JD 920 for a 1411. The John Deere was a good mower and mowed a lot of hay, but I like the NH better. The JD had impellers, which I do not like. I thought they took more power, and did not dry hay as well. The John Deere was also very noisy, and did not float as well. New Hollands have very good resale, so others must also like them too.
