South-central Nebraska | The 10-34-0 will probably be more efficient in the way the crop uses it at least for the short term. But, most likely you will eventually start mining what you have already established or built up with your dry program. When I was a liquid N program, I liked adding 10-34-0 to my 32% as the N helped move the solution a bit deeper in the root zone. If you really want to cut costs for a year, only apply the 5 gal with the planter for your best bang for the buck and crop availability. Myself, I hate to start cutting my P needs too much as I don't want to play catch up down the road. You may save the most dollars by grid sampling and having your dry program applied VRT. | |
