Did you trouble shoot the switch and circuit John?

Corrosion is usually the culprit.

On our 89 the back tank was pretty rusted so we replaced it with one of these $90 tanks. It works.

Truck stranded me this summer and it was the fuel pump hot lead connection on the left front fender, it was corroded too.

It has three pumps, one in each tank and one on the mainframe and it is easy to get corrosion on the connections to these pumps.
