Kansas
Have a 90 F-250 with the two seperate fuel tanks like all the Ford's had back then, but something is wrong in the switch so we can't use the back tank. I thought I read somewhere about how someone removed the two and replaced with one big one. I was just wondering if this could really be done as looking under the frame there doesn't appear to be room to put a 30-35 gallon tank (I think both are 15 gallon). I believe all three (Ford, Dodge, Chevy/GMC) use a single 35 gallon tank nowadays.

I wonder why Ford and Chevy/GMC did the two tank deal in the first place instead of just doing a little under-body reconfigurment? The Chevy/GMC's look to be more of a pain with the two tank setup as they didn't have both tank fill-ups on the same side as Ford.
