Subject: Elevator moisture testers



South Dakota

I am just asking which states require grain elevators to meet state weights and measures moisture requirements. From my understanding, South Dakota. It does not require state to certification of moisture tester's. I am wondering if this is true and what you people think about this subject. Should all elevators and grain merchants have their moisture tester's calibrated by the state board of weights and measures? The reason I am asking this is because a friend took the same sample of grain to 6 different grain merchants found a 2% moisture difference from the high the low
