If the rolls are really worn it may affect feeding but I would look at the condition and location of the reel teeth. If they are too far from the rolls they will not feed into the rolls very well. Put a new tooth next to yours to see how far the old ones are bent back.

NH usually has 3 or 4 bolts with slotted holes on the roll drive that you use to time the rolls. Running with out of time rolls will wear them very fast.
