Subject: RE: Grain cart scales

Our cart scales are DigiStar the "AutoLog" feature so it logs the weight as soon as the pto stops. I tell our cart operators not to move until the scal head has finished recording the weight. Seems to be fairly accurate. When we nught the cart new it had WeighTronix scales already on it, they were very inaccurate. After 3 yrs of complaints the dealer switched it over to the DigiStar system, including all new weigh bars & cables. Very happy with the DigiStar. I would want the scales to be the most accurate over a range of loads rather than an individual load but after two yrs with the DigiStar system it seems to be accurate equally on individual loads as a series of loads. I did take a lot of time getting the scales calibrated to start with and concessionally will do a calibration load as moisture changes
