You may believe that, and it may be true.  However, in this case, your opinion does not count. The only opinion that really counts is the guy who is buying the alfalfa...... and the nutritionist/ vet who is developing the ration to feed the cows.  Around here, I say, if the nutritionist wants grass with the alfalfa, that's what they get; if they want pure alfalfa, that's what they get.   Since they are building the ration, they get to make that request.
