Subject: RE: Corn scouting disappointments DeKalb county Illinois

Morris, IL
I 100% understand Ron, i did not run in Kankakee (hate driving truck in Kankakee) but i was close enough and it made me sick, we have some bad looking fields, some would fit into that 2-4' tall and pollinating but over all we have great crop compared to you guys, two years in a row really but i bet this will be worse and i remember you saying last year was worst you ever had.

What i saw around 65 looked clean either from tillage or spraying or fresh water to kill everything, this was 65mph scouting by the way. But fields south of kankakee have lot of weeds along with corn even in the full stand areas. And are you now dry Ron? I was thinking beans still could do good if it kept raining but now we are dry as a bone, need rain ASAP for beans and corn grain fill, like couple inches, our fields look like Chads pictures above and have for a while now, this year isn't going to give up.
