Likely the cost could be reduced if the fire suppression system was designed into and installed on all the combines. If that cost were brought down to the several thousand dollar range wouldn't that be an option worth having on a several hundred thousand dollar machine? I wonder what cost the insurance companies allocate to combine fires, it can't be insignificant.
