Don't blame the engineers! Blame the 'bean counters' that have final say on what is approved for final tool up.

"cost" being the usual first casualty..

I can't imagine the 'back room' full of shelved fantastic and not-so-fantastic ideas.. and THOSE costs are also passed on to what is being sold today .
