The one thing I did this morning is tighten the belt that drives the fan. I don't think it had ever been tightened up. Took it from 4 in down to 2.5 in. I think that made the biggest difference. Also, there is a spring loaded flap in the exhaust. We vise gripped that open (the spring is broke) and that might have helped too. What is the purpose of that thing? We haven't used the rubber hose for years because it is so slow. Just shovel around the end of the tube to clean up.
