Yes, you can disable field tracker by removing the two relays that control it. They are the 2 relays toward the rear of the cab under the right side console. I do it all the time for my corn head.
But, you will still need the field tracker drive shaft kit for the corn head because the rigid shafts don't line up with the field tracker feeder house drive.
