Ironwood - 8/2/2015 16:47 Dekalb has a habit of throwing marginal cold germ lots out and hoping for the best. Did it when I was selling 15 years ago and still at it. 4620 was a germination train wreck this year in so mn. Probably all the same lot number.
I had some very poor germ/emergence on 46-20 in So MN as well this year. I attributed it to imbibitional chilling injury. The 48-12 I planted that same day had some issues too but not as bad as the 46-20. I planted an 80 for a customer that morning that was another brand and his all came up perfect. |
