Was the entire field grazed or just the areas with cover crops? If the entire field was grazed, it is very likely the cover crop area was lower in fertility, due to the cattle grazing and then leaving some of the recycled nutrients in the non cover crop area. If only the cover crop areas were grazed, compaction form the grazing livestock could have been a factor. Patrick
