I might tend to disagree with the other posters, but a few pertinent questions have to be answered.   when do you anticipate your corn coming off?   when is your first frost date, and first killing frost?   and how much precip do you usually get in the sept -nov time frame.

the isa  last year was doing some cover crop seeding trials, and one of the mixes had oats in it along with some radish that was aerially seeded. it was seeded late august-early sept. into soybeans. there was about three inches of growth at harvest in early October. the oats appeared to have germinated better than the radish and out grew it.
