Subject: RE: Core decompression on hip?

NW IOWA
Get a second opinion! I had hip replacement at 46, and need the other one done now at 56. The first one is the best thing I have ever done, made out of ceramic and the doc told me it could last me a lifetime and I don't plan on dying young! He said that is what they would put in a 18 year old because of it's long life. He actually couldn't give me a life expectancy of the hip as they have yet to wear them out. My doc at Mayo clinic says about the only fix for a bad hip is a replacement, everything else is temporary and a new hip is an easy relatively painless procedure that could last a lifetime. He will only do replacements, no treatments, they won't work long term. Dr. Truesdale in Rochester, MN is my doc, he has done 6 replacement hips on my brothers and sisters not a bad one in the bunch. My brother and myself both need one more done and we are on his list, cann't wait to get rid of the pain and be able to enjoy life! DON'T WAIT!
