Dills, FL
Not familiar with the decompression procedure, I had a bad right hip and at 41 my ortho dr. put in a BHR hip. Its kinda a replacement hip without completely cutting the neck off the femur. Allows for future replacement of the hip in young people because they don't last forever..... can loosen or can get infected or compromised by accidents etc. each replacement has to be anchored deeper into the femur. Good Luck, definitely get 2 or 3 opinions. MRI's aren't great in showing bone degradation, they're excellent in soft tissue analysis though.
