Onalaska WI | I insure some applicators, fertilizer dealers etc. They have coverage for misapplication (or at least mine do). You need to put in a claim now. If you wait until fall, pick and tell them they caused a loss, the company may very well deny the claim because they were not notified and had the chance to remedy the situation. Call them and ask who insured the co-op. It is one of about 4 companies. I know this is awkward; but just because you put a claim in now, does not mean anything will get paid; but their insurance company needs to know what is up so they can get involved. If you ask them to put in a claim and no-one calls you within a couple days, they did not do it. Use email and/or certified mail to track you communication with them. If you are uncomfortable doing that stuff ask your agent for help or your attorney.
The patience you guys show with Coops is incredible. I know they are sometimes the only game in town; but they get by with murder in a lot of communities.
