does he have palmers?   how do you kill them?  is that the one you are referring to about being taller than 2 inch?

If ALS/glyph-resistant Palmers are over 2", there's nothing that's going to provide 100% control.  Maybe if you run a rip-snortin' mix you'll take down enough of the 3 - 4" ones to be satisfactory.  On the larger ones, all it does is burn some foliage and they immediately leaf out again.  Heck, sometimes the 2" ones leaf back out.  Thus, you need very strong residual herbicides to prevent them from emerging.
