I've applied fungicide through pivots for several year. From .12" to .18" depending on the pivot. Made a believer out of me the first year when I purposely ran short on one pivot. At harvest time you could clearly see where the pump ran out of fungicide. I think it drenges the plant which may actually be better than just being on top.
