I use 3/4 hydraulic tubing. Lighter than galvanized pipe. Heater hose sleeve but still gets hot. Slight bend at last 8" and tip smashed in the vise.
Best investment we've made in some time was buying a 185cfm compressor. I actually enjoy cleaning off big balers now. Couldn't go back to leaf blowers if I had to
