Farmers used treflan for weed control in their corn years ago with pretty good success. They just had to be certain the seed was below the chemical zone.

We often would see treflan carry-over injuring the corn so it was hard to imagine a farmer actually using it on his corn.

Treflan would do nothing to your volunteer corn other than perhaps reducing it's yield. :)

4 oz of clethodim should kill it.
