NW Central Ohio | ..When we start double cropping after wheat in Northern Ohio...we try to plant a full season variety. If we plant a short season variety...the bean stops flowering too soon to maximize it's potential. You trade some green beans in the sample...for "no" beans in the sample....and green beans are still soybeans, not foreign material. The cut-off date we've been going with for double cropping is July 10...with a first frost average of Oct. 8th. | |
