Subject: Tearing out bad corn to plant beans

NE IL
If it ever dries up I'm thinking about field cultivating some severely thin/stunted corn in a low spot and planting beans instead. There are a couple acres on the edge of the area that totally drowned out that I'll be planting anyway. I'm hoping the SureStart from the beginning of May is washed away with over 12" of rain since then. Have you ever seen any corn taken out on July 1 to plant beans? I may try it. It's only 3 acres or so
