Subject: RE: fungicide with the lower grain prices

East central Iowa, Camanche, Iowa
My point is to treat as need when needed given the conditions at the time and the amount of vegetation to be treated. With the wet conditions now, the enviroment is conducive for leaf and stalk pathogens and because of the stress of too much water which stresses the plant making it more susceptible to leaf/stalk diseases. Should the weather turn around I will need a stronger base to support my crop.
I had been around longer enough to realize that staying one step ahead of plant diseases pays off but I try to treat my crop smarter, not harder. One size does not fit all. I want the best ROI I can get.
It is a risk, just like like any kind of insurance you buy just enough for protection from catastrophic events........ not to get rich.
