It will of course depend on what you pay for the fungicide application leading to your assessment for ROI.

But if you have a problem like NCLB or GLS, scouting is the greatest tool you have before deciding on a fungicide. Even at $3/bushel and lets say the cost of fungicide is an average of $24/acre, you will need to rescue 8 bushels of corn to break even, which in the case of NCLB and GLS you can lose around 20-40 bushels, maybe more if the plant cannabalizes its stalk and falls over before harvest.
