Subject: RE: Spraying 5ft tall corn

We still have about 400 ac of corn to spray. Luckily we put a pre down but it's staring to run out. Rdup label says corn over 36" tall must be sprayed with drops to keep the chemical out of the whorl. Other reason to spray with drops in tall corn is to get the chemical below the canopy, otherwise you're going to get a poor kill on weeds & grass. If you don't have them you'll be lucky to find drops. I called several places today before I found any and was lucky enough to get the last ones they had. Hopefully can spray by tomorrow afternoon. Talked to a friend this evening who said his neighbor got stuck on his 4wheeler tday trying to find some place dry enough to spray. More rain coming in tomorrow, with 2-3" by Friday.
