| I guess I'll join the fight, but I am further South. We put all on early and never look back. As my post name implies we have lots of wet ground and the day you plant it may be the only practical chance to get it on,,,,,,not saying it can't be done, but if a guy needed to do a lot of acres between rains while trying to plant beans it wouldn't get done. We have taken MANY soil nitrate tests down through the years and have always found the N is there even when we were afraid it was gone. I personally believe we are yet to learn much about this, as it will become a hot button issue in years to come. Wonder if we won't have individual farm prescriptions according to soil types and watershed risks
