NE SD | I've never seen this nose diving with our 725 IH. I bet it's interesting to watch though.
When unfolding I have always backed up and to the left usually the hitch snaps in and shortly after the wheel locks in. Sometimes it's hard to remember that the wheel has to come all the way around to the front for it to run level.....LOL. Never had much trouble unfolding or folding no matter how we go about it......but ours is in good shape and hasn't seen a whole pile of acres like you guys up in ND do. I can't imagine trying to handle a 36' or even a 30' swather. NO THANKS!
