I have a creek about as wild as any ones and I use one wire high tensile fence. I basically made a paddock out of the creek but in no way will my cattle not be in the creek at some time. they have to cross it to get to another 200 acres. Course my cattle are trained to it. I guarantee you a woven or barb fence would not last a year.
