I have good fertility for the most part but pH in the 5.6-6.6 range. Plan on lime, fall fert as required by soil sample, gypsum and perhaps poultry litter if I can get it. Then till it in to level field and plant the rye. I thought of putting some ESN in with the seed since they say you can do that for wheat but don't know. I am afraid of putting too much N on due to lodging.
