As far as rye varieties.... I've been told there is no such thing anymore, they are all mixed up and just VNS. I have noticed a difference in some seed that I have grown but that was just visual seed appearance. Any thoughts on that?
There a certified seed producers in Michigan. Assuming thats the same in other states as well. I'm guessing that whoever told you that had VNS to sell. Nothing wrong with VNS, but I was interested in a couple of traits that were important to me (seed size, early growth, etc) that I sought out varieties that fit my needs. |
Fertility program for rye? Yield?
