Southeast Wyoming | CGinWTN - 5/22/2015 07:00 Well here is what I did. After waiting approximately 3 hours I bit the bullet and did a hard turn off. I held the power key for 4 seconds and it shut down. I then rebooted into safe mode and it undid the updates then I went into regular Windows and did the updates at three or four at a time and this time it worked but seems like it boots and turns off slower than before the updates. Oh it's a ACER so I would say its probably Windows trouble. Thanks for the responses.
I will update also. I posted at about 9:50 pm local time that mine was beginning to download some 70 updates. Two hours later my laptop said the download was complete and asked for a restart to install the updates. At 46% complete about 20 minutes later, the install aborted and it began to revert back. I left it to it's misery.
Thank you for the update. I will try to install a few at a time.
I could just give Bill Gates a big hug for his part in making life so simple. * lol |
