Kevin we finally got back into the field yesterday, sand ground of course. It was intended to be no-till but with wind lately( field borders greenhouses) it looked like it would be a while before we could get a burn down on so we worked it and planted. Worked nice. Today we tried no-tilling into corn stalks... truthfully we should stayed parked but you know how it goes. Sweet corn is going in tomorrow or Saturday. No sure what do to after that, clay is still wet. We have one sand farm to go but its got pockets of low black sand, tried to drive across a black sand hole 3 days ago with the pickup, had to back out LOL..

I worked a farm years ago that had some black sand that would stay wet. We had a light tractor with duals and a 12 ft disk at the time and would skim across it disking an inch or so and in two hours we could do any thing on that black sand we wanted to do.
