I liked the $12.50 NC bean bid last year so I switched a bunch of acres to beans. Normally I was 2/3's corn until last year. I will be back to about 2/3's corn again this year. I am hoping that with some carry and locking in the basis at the right times I can still get close to $4.00 cash for the unpriced corn. I think it will be tough to get $9.00 cash for beans that aren't priced yet. I never seem to have any luck picking up any carry with the beans.
