Had the same surgery done in Feb. I had it for a couple years kept putting it off, not nearly as bad as I had worried it would be. Surgeon closed muscle and put mesh over that and closed me up. Listen to the dr. about lifting and straining. 4 weeks before I lifted to much. Now 2 1/2 months later pretty much forget I had it done. Good Luck.
