True but if it's important enough to an individual (as it is to me) to keep them and make them useful then I don't expect anyone to donate money but at the same time I don't expect criticism from others about how I modified it to suit my needs. It has to be usable when saved vs restoring to original design only to sit empty because it cannot be used.

I've done both retrofitted and torn them down. It depends on the situation the history and legacy and the financial ramifications.
