I have a neighbor that thinks PETA could be involved with spreading the bird flu. He said it isn't making any sense the way it is spreading and jumping around from one place to another that isn't connected and skipping other places in-between. I don't know enough about it to even have an idea but I sure wouldn't put it past PETA if they think they can gain something from it.

I talked to a fellow this morning, who had worked in turkey barns.  He was speculating that the contamination could be coming from farmers, who sell their corn to mills that mix feed for turkey farms.  He said most farm grain storage is out in the open, and will attract wild water fowl, who will leave droppings behind at the bin site.  When the farmer loads out grain and tries to clean up the spilled grain, he may also be picking up the droppings left behind by the fowl.
