Subject: RE: Honda Motor Problems

Kamsack Saskatchewan, Canada

Could be a few things as others stated. Honda motors and other small engines are not made to run on our so called regular gas now, because of the ethonol that is added into regular gas. We have found this out on many of our Hondas, and other small engines on generators, lawn mowers etc.  After sitting for a few months or over the winter, old rgular gas will actually leave a varnish like substance in the carburator. Also you might wonder where in heck is the water comimng into the fuel tank after sitting..Ethonol sweats..All the small engine repair guys will now tell you, do not use regular gas in small engines, but use a fuel with higher then 90 octane. We started doing that, and what a world of difference in how the small engines now give us no grief like before.  Not saying this is your problem, but sometimes blowing out the carb is not enough if its varnished up. You might have to soak it overnight in some carb cleaner. Also as said, it can be an air leak, govenor linkage, etc.
