Subject: RE: Barron's

eastern south central KS
I always look at the commodity column in Barron's as it's a reverse indicator... whatever position the writer is touting means one wants to consider a trade in the opposite direction. They don't really have a decent commodity writer and haven't for years. That said, it is very dry here in WW country. Still time for rain to help but we are on a descending slope that will steepen with time if the pattern of warm and dry doesn't change. The guys in SW KS and NW OK are far worse off the we here further east in that they really never have come out of the multi-year drouth but are quite dry here also. We have started planting corn here today... still moisture to bring it up around two inches down.
