| I admit I'm a micromanager when it comes to my cows and calves, but the thing that might drive me the most crazy is I put down lots of bedding, fresh bedding. They got calf shelters to go in with bedding. Go out and check cows, calves laying around bale feeders, and no not a lot of hay on the ground, some cows are 2, laying in the mud while only a handful are laying in the straw. It just drives me nuts, why do they do this? It's cold and damp and they don't utilize the straw. The cows are gonna have dirty bags doing this. Just makes me wanna I don't know what. Do you leave them be? A few tears ago I'd get them up and try moving them, only to stir em up and more than likely they'd go back anyhow....so I've learned to just walk away. Whether that's right or not I don't know but it sure does get me riled up. | |
