I agree on the waterway, but a person can't make someone do what they won't do on their property unless you are the govt, so.... :)


That 2200 foot 15-12 inch tile line goes through 3 seperate potholes to drain out three depressions exactly like you describe. As well neighbor and I have a fair amount of pattern tile hooked up to it.

My whole farm is prairie potholes in clayish soils here, I just pattern tiled a 40 acre field that has 13 different little potholes in it. Wow did that make a difference. Biggest tile they used was 6 inch tied into the old 7 and 10 inch mains dad had in the field.

But anyhow, a 20 acre pothole should drain out of a 6" tile 400 feet long. Easy to upsize to a 8 or 10 inch if you need to.

That is here, I know things are different in other climates, soils, etc.

I'm just not understanding.

Now, 5+ inches of water in 2 hours on saturated land can overwhelm even a 15 inch tile. ;)
